Martial arts are made up of three components: mental, spiritual, and physical. The martial arts therefore require students to develop both their bodies and their minds, which is different than most other sports and physical activities that usually focus purely on physical training.

Our major and all encompassing philosophy at AJF Martial Arts of Sheridan is Jungdo, a Korean notion meaning "right seeing, right thinking, right understanding, and right doing." We strive to teach respect for self, respect for others, and responsibility for our actions. The tenets of our philosophy are courtesy, humility, integrity, perseverance, self control, and indomitable spirit.

Right Seeing. Right Thinking. Right Understanding. Right doing.
